Robert Smith ÷ Terry Hall + ABC × 80s Pop = Black Kids Partie Traumatic. That pop formula brings me back to day-glo neons and side ponytail-hair and socks with pumps. It’s an 80s party that’s polished now that they’ve been officially produced by an official musician. Good head-bobbing and sing-along stuff. I don’t take it too seriously. Just the way I never took The Bangles seriously.
